Job Title: Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab Executive

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong background in laboratory animal care and histopathological analysis. A Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute blood collection from various laboratory animals.
  • Monitor anesthesia / euthanasia of laboratory animals.
  • Plan for necropsy examination.
  • Prepare and conduct necropsy examination of laboratory animals.
  • Conduct and monitor tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining of various studies.
  • Read histopathological slides for toxicity and efficacy studies.
  • Monitor histopathological slide preparation.
  • Read and prepare histopathological reports of various pre-clinical studies as a study pathologist.
  • Conduct and monitor clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters & urine analysis.
  • Monitor microscopic evaluation of urine samples.
  • Implement and maintain high standard quality control checks for in-house biochemical analysis.
  • Prepare SOPs related to pathology area.
  • Control and supervise the maintenance and operation of histopathology-related instruments.
  • Review in-house test results.
  • Involve in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects.
Allied Responsibilities:
  • Ensure availability of required chemicals and other materials/facilities for projects.
  • Provide RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports, and study audits.
  • Plan and execute health monitoring of animal and employee.
  • Collect samples, analyze/dispatch samples for various analyses.
  • Prepare calibration schedules for pathology-related equipment.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance schedules for pathology lab-related equipment.
  • Perform additional responsibilities/activities assigned by management without conflict of interest.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong background in laboratory animal care and histopathological analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
