About this role:

Senior Software Asset Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Asset Manager to join our team. As a Senior Software Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, license management, compliance, renewals, and vendor coordination.

  • You will process software requests via vendor portals and validate license availability.
  • You will maintain accurate records of license assignments, usage, and compliance.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also track contract expirations using dashboards and coordinate with legal and procurement for contract reviews and renewals.

Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Purchase Order (PO) Process

As a Senior Software Asset Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing purchase requisitions (PRs) and POs in SAP.
  • Collaborating with the Center of Excellence (COE) for PR processing.
  • Ensuring all approvals are documented.
  • Tracking PO status and updating stakeholders accordingly.
Vendor & Communication Management

You will use shared mailboxes for all vendor interactions and ensure all communications are tagged to relevant tickets.

Software Deployment & Packaging

You will coordinate with desktop engineering and local IT for software packaging and deployment and manage add-ons and plugin deployments via Intune and Microsoft Entra.

Compliance & Audit

You will conduct regular license usage reviews and reclaim unused licenses and ensure all actions are documented for audit and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Procurement.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Asana, Remedy (BMC Helix), and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance.
  • Experience with vendor portals and contract management systems.
