Job Title

IT Asset Management Specialist

  • A key role within the organization that focuses on managing software assets effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and manage IT asset management tools and processes across the organization
  2. Maintain accurate software inventory and license entitlement records
  3. Monitor software usage and ensure compliance with vendor agreements
  4. Identify cost-saving opportunities through license optimization and harvesting
  5. Prepare for and support internal/external software audits
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to align ITAM strategy with business goals
  7. Develop and maintain documentation for ITAM policies, procedures, and workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in software asset management, including:

  • Hands-on experience with ITAM tools like ServiceNow, Flexera, SNOW, SCCM, or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage software audits and ensure license compliance
  • Strong skills in analyzing software usage data to identify optimization opportunities
  • Familiarity with software contracts, entitlements, and vendor negotiations
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and ISO/IEC 19770-1 SAM standards
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, finance, and IT teams
