Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer with extensive experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution using a broad range of AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, AWS CLI, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, AWS Config, Kinesis, Route 53, Dynamo DB, and SNS).
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and developers to create security solutions for cloud environments by designing security controls and ensuring they are integrated into cloud platforms.
  • Monitor cloud environments for suspicious activities and threats using tools like SIEM systems. Implement security governance policies and maintain audit logs for regulatory requirements.
  • Automate cloud security processes using tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible. Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure secure deployment and configuration.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, network, and software development teams to promote secure cloud practices and training and educating employees about cloud security best practices.
  • Secure and encrypt data by providing secret management solutions with versioning enabled.
    • Design and deliver scalable and highly available solutions for applications migrating to the cloud.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance standards in cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • AWS certifications are a plus.
