Cloud Security Specialist

The role of a Cloud Security Specialist is crucial in safeguarding an organization's cloud-based assets from potential threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and analyzing security events across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Implementing and enforcing cloud security best practices and policies to prevent vulnerabilities

  • Identifying and mitigating potential cloud security risks through continuous monitoring and risk assessment

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Participating in incident response and root cause analysis for cloud-related issues to minimize downtime and data loss

  • Staying updated on the latest cloud security trends, threats, and tools to ensure proactive defense strategies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and networking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of security concepts, firewalls, and vulnerability management
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and threat intelligence platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex security issues
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of cloud security with a willingness to obtain relevant certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant internship or academic project experience in cybersecurity or cloud technologies
  • Certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, AZ-900, CompTIA Security+, or similar
