Job Title: Software Development Analyst

This role involves a blend of technical expertise, data analysis, and strategic thinking. The software development analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, identifying opportunities for improvement in e-commerce systems, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and collaborating with development teams to implement solutions that enhance user experience, drive conversion, and support overall business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of e-commerce performance metrics, including website traffic, user behavior, sales trends etc.
  • Utilize web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and growth across the e-commerce platform.
  • Lead and participate in A/B testing and other experimentation efforts to evaluate the impact of changes to the e-commerce platform and marketing campaigns.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues that impact e-commerce performance, such as site speed, checkout process, and mobile optimization.
  • Recommend and implement data-driven strategies to improve website functionality, product offerings, and marketing initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams and development teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on data analysis and interpretation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in e-commerce, web analytics, and software development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a Software Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role within an e-commerce environment.
  • Strong proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Expertise in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to extract meaningful patterns from large datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem, including payment gateways, order management systems, and CRM.
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
