Job Title: Senior Manager, IT Applications

About the Role

This position oversees the management and operation of academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at a leading educational institution. The role involves driving efficiency, integration, security, and innovation in technology solutions that support faculty, staff, and students.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Application Management & Operations
    • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications including deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization.
    • Evaluate high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
    • Resolve application-related problems through issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to deliver effective IT solutions.
    • Serve as primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
    • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance
    • Develop and execute an application roadmap aligned with institutional digital transformation goals.
    • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
    • Recommend innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management
    • Lead and mentor the application support team at campus level.
    • Negotiate contracts/SLAs with vendors and ensure quality service delivery.
    • Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integration & Data Management
    • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
    • Maintain data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.
    Qualifications & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (Master's preferred).
    • Around 15 years of experience in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
    • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
    • Strong experience in application integration, vendor management, and IT governance.
    • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation best practices.
