Job Profile

As a key member of our electronics design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electronic hardware solutions that meet our high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced electronics design engineers to design and develop electronic hardware solutions.
  • Lead the development process, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to development processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with national and international standards, incorporating compliance into designs.
  • Review and provide feedback on designs created by team members, suggesting improvements and changes.
  • Contribute to product architecting efforts, identifying potential failure modes and incorporating security and safety measures into designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Lead project planning efforts, providing input on design and prototyping.
  • Conduct hardware board bring-up and unit testing, ensuring that designs meet our high standards.
  • Coordinate with external test and certification laboratories for functional and compliance verification and certification.

Requirements:

  • BE/B.Tech in Electronics or Instrumentation, with a preference for M.Tech.
  • At least 10-12 years of hands-on experience in 8/16/32-bit microprocessor-based digital and analog hardware.
  • Thorough understanding of PWB design tools like Expedition Suite from Mentor Graphics.
  • Hands-on simulation experience with tools like HyperLynx, FPGA.
  • Experience working with laboratory equipment like DSO, MSO, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.
  • Knowledge of international standards like IEC 60529, IEC 60068, IEC 61000, CISPR 11, CISPR 16, etc.
  • Experience in board-level designs incorporating programmable devices like CPLDs and FPGAs from Xilinx and Altera.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Managed a team of at least 4-5 members, including performance reviews and appraisals.

Desirable:

  • Experience in EMI/EMC design and testing at product and system levels.
  • Additional knowledge and exposure to power electronics, working with high-voltage and high-current sources.
  • Expertise in test environments like National Instruments LabVIEW.
  • Programming and scripting languages like C, C++, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001 systems and procedures.
