Job Title: Senior Instrument Engineer (Microfluidic Scientist)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Engineer with a strong background in designing and developing complex systems and devices, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in multiple programming languages. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hardware-software integration, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex electronic systems and devices, including embedded systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing systems, both hardware and software
  • Write efficient code in Python, C, C++, embedded C, and HMI programming languages
  • Develop and optimize firmware for embedded systems
  • Work with a variety of motors, sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers
  • Lead product development initiatives from concept to completion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in electronics, bio-medical systems, and embedded systems engineering
  • Implement and optimize precise control systems for specific areas of operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in electronics application engineering, with a focus on embedded systems
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with various motors, sensors, and actuators
  • Proficiency in Python, C, C++, embedded C, and HMI programming
  • Strong knowledge of embedded hardware design principles and practices
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and expertise in control systems engineering, including PID controllers and closed-loop systems
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
  • Proficiency in using debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues
  • Excellent product development skills with a track record of successful embedded projects
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, datasheets, and hardware reference manuals
  • Expertise in control systems engineering, including PID controllers and closed-loop systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated experience in precise controlled area working

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with IoT devices and connectivity
  • Familiarity with PCB design and prototyping
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, IEC, CE)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for embedded software development
  • Familiarity with low-power design techniques for battery-operated devices
