We are seeking a skilled and innovative Textile Designer to join our team. As a Textile Designer, you will be responsible for creating unique and original fabric manipulation techniques, embroidery, and textile designs that showcase your artistic skills and technical knowledge.

About the Role
  1. Creative Design
  • Create new and exciting fabric manipulation techniques, embroidery, and textile designs, including patterns, prints, weaves, and new materials.
  • Develop bold color palettes and experiment with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by researching trends in fashion, textiles, and consumer preferences.
  1. Material Selection
  • Select the right fabrics and materials based on design requirements and functionality.
  • Source sustainable or innovative materials when needed.
  1. Technical Skills
  • Utilize design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CAD to create digital designs.
  • Understand textile production processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing.
  • Create detailed technical specifications for manufacturers.
  1. Collaboration
  • Work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure designs align with the overall vision.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand target audiences and market trends.
  1. Prototyping and Sampling
  • Develop prototypes and samples to test designs.
  • Make adjustments based on feedback and production feasibility.
  1. Quality Control
  • Evaluate that the final textiles meet quality standards and design specifications.
  • Address any issues during production.
  1. Sustainability and Innovation
  • Explore eco-friendly materials and sustainable production methods.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and innovations in textile design.

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. Certifications in CAD or textile technology can be an added advantage.
