Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department and administer the complete management of engineering, electrical, and civil maintenance activities for our facility.
This role will be responsible for supporting and executing preventive maintenance planning, repair estimation, vendor performance monitoring, and safety inspections.
The incumbent will partner with the Operations Department to resolve technical issues related to equipment breakdowns, improve maintenance practices, and ensure smooth facility operations.
In addition, this role will coordinate activities related to fuel and electricity management, spare part inventory, and facility compliance with safety and environmental standards.
The areas of focus include:
- Preventive maintenance planning and execution
- Supervision of electrical, mechanical, and firefighting equipment maintenance
- Vendor performance monitoring and maintenance material management
- Compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe and contribute to continuous improvement of HTPL/Zircon management system.
- Assist in preventive maintenance job planning and execution, including warranty jobs.
- Supervise maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment.
- Manage spare part planning, monitoring, and technical confirmation.
- Follow up on major breakdowns, repairs, and external party repairs.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Create and implement preventive maintenance documents and schedules for equipment.
- Maintain records for diesel consumption and tire efficiency of handling equipment.
- Raise requisitions for electrical, mechanical, and rail siding spares.
- Assist in setting up an in-house maintenance team and spare parts management.
- Provide reports on maintenance activities, fuel usage, and electrical consumption.
- Implement environmental management system procedures to reduce waste.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline or certifications in Maintenance Management/Facilities Management is a plus.
Desired Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and rail siding equipment maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to plan and manage preventive maintenance and repair activities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and complex written information.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and their application to maintenance.
Our ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work well under pressure.
Experience in maintenance management and facilities management is highly desirable.
