Senior HVAC Systems Designer

Our organization is seeking a seasoned HVAC Design Manager with expertise in creating exceptional living spaces. The ideal candidate will craft experiences that touch the senses and evoke emotions, inspired by nature and cultural heritage.

1. Develop and apply knowledge of ASHRAE / ISHRAE and other industry standards to design HVAC systems for high-rise residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
2. Lead the HVAC design process, ensuring timely completion and quality assurance.
3. Calculate heating and cooling needs, designing efficient systems to meet project requirements.
4. Propose new products, technologies, and design improvements with feasibility studies.
5. Evaluate various options and provide technical recommendations.
6. Propose energy-saving and environmentally friendly designs and products.
7. Calculate ventilation requirements, ensuring optimal indoor air quality.
8. Determine budgetary costs for heating and cooling systems and provide detailed estimates.
9. Collaborate with architects and other discipline engineers during system design.
10. Study and understand architectural and structural drawings.
11. Provide detailed input to junior engineers and drafting engineers for quality drawing preparation.
12. Monitor progress and quality of drawings until the GFC stage.
13. Prepare lists of discrepancies in architectural and structural drawings and inform relevant teams within two working days.
14. Develop concept designs based on final architectural drawings.
15. Prepare documents for sanction purposes, adhering to local codes and regulations.
16. Attend design review meetings.
17. Obtain signoff on concept designs before proceeding to detail design.
18. Prepare design brief reports.
19. Detail design as per approved concept and scheme.
20. Check drawings against checklists.
21. Submit drawings according to commitments.
22. Prepare HVAC duct routes and equipment layouts using Revit/BIM software.
23. Detail duct routes, prepare bills of materials, and create takeoff sheets.
24. Prepare all HVAC drawings using Revit/BIM software.
25. Compile BOQ/estimate/technical specification/approved make along with takeoff sheets.
26. Prepare tender drawings, specifications, BOM for floating tenders.
27. Conduct technical evaluations of tenders and provide vendor ratings/recommendations.
28. Perform quality checks and site inspections at different construction stages.
29. Secure LEED/IGBC certification for buildings.
30. Review shop drawings and technical data sheets.
31. Maintain documentation of all design materials and drawings.
32. Hand over inspection reports as required.
33. Utilize specialized software to create product designs and drawings.
34. Prepare equipment manuals and maintenance booklets for site teams.
35. Develop as-built drawings with the in-house team.
36. Administer construction activities.
37. Evaluate test reports and oversee construction of HVAC systems across all projects.
38. Review equipment and material submissions.
39. Assist and resolve HVAC issues during and after construction.
40. Complete construction visits and address issues related to HVAC systems.
41. Ensure compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
42. Guarantee adherence to project timelines.
43. Facilitate communication and collaboration with teams and departments to support architectural and engineering design.
44. Engage with other teams during design and construction periods.
45. Meet the following educational/experiential requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience.
46. Possess working knowledge of Revit software.
