Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our homologation process for retrofit emission control devices and automotive products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving all homologation related activities, leading the homologation team, and ensuring successful completion of type-approval and COP projects meeting regulatory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective homologation strategies & roadmaps for retrofit emission control devices and automotive products
  • Establish and manage relationships with test agencies and regulatory bodies for smooth project execution.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the homologation team, ensuring effective execution of homologation strategies and meeting timelines.
  • Monitor and report on the homologation process, including risks and issues, to senior management.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure successful project completion.
  • Take full ownership of homologation-related projects in the organization.
  • Foster a culture of process-driven ideas across the engineering team, promoting cross-functional teamwork and open communication.
  • Work in ambiguity while maintaining team focus and motivation. Contribute actively to organizational strategy.
  • Manage external homologation partners and provide guidance on homologation requirements.
  • Maintain necessary contacts for regular exchange of regulatory information.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in homologation, certification, or regulatory compliance, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and homologation partners.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
