Job Title: Mechanical Millwork Designer

Role Overview:

A mechanical millwork designer is a skilled professional who specializes in creating detailed designs and plans for custom millwork projects. This job requires a combination of technical knowledge, artistic flair, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D and 3D models of custom millwork projects using CAD software.
  • Develop detailed plans, layouts, and renderings to meet client specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate mechanical millwork designs.
  • Conduct site visits to take measurements and gather information needed for design development.
  • Prepare material and hardware selection and produce accurate bills of materials.
  • Optimize designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Create production documents, including shop drawings, fabrication plans, and installation instructions.
  • Review and modify designs based on feedback from team members, clients, and quality control inspections.

Requirements:

  • Strong AutoCAD expertise and ability to work on architectural and furniture drawings.
  • Hands-on experience in panel optimization and production process management.
  • Proficient working knowledge of SAP, ERP tools, and 2020 Design Software for furniture design.
