Job Title: Technology Innovator

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teacher to join our team as a Primary Technology Resource Teacher.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging ICT lessons that cater to the needs of primary school students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design ICT lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards, incorporating technology concepts and digital citizenship.
  • Classroom Instruction: Deliver interactive ICT lessons, fostering digital literacy, creativity, and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities and projects.
  • Technology Integration: Integrate technology tools, software, and digital resources into teaching and learning, familiarizing students with basic computer skills and internet safety.
  • Student Engagement: Create a positive learning environment, encouraging curiosity and exploration of technology, using various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Develop assessments to evaluate students' understanding of ICT concepts, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and communicating progress to parents.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a well-organized and technology-friendly classroom, managing ICT resources and equipment effectively.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate ICT into interdisciplinary projects, participating in school-wide initiatives and collaborating with the ICT department.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest developments in educational technology and teaching methodologies, participating in professional development opportunities to enhance ICT teaching skills.
  • Parental Communication: Maintain open communication with parents regarding students' progress in ICT, conducting parent-teacher meetings and providing information on the importance of ICT education.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience at the primary level.
  • Strong understanding of basic ICT concepts and technology integration in primary education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
