Job Title: Printer Administrator

As a seasoned IT professional, we are seeking an experienced print administrator to manage and support the print environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in desktop support and a passion for delivering reliable and efficient IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Print Environment Management: Manage and work on printers, print servers, configurations, installations, validations, and troubleshooting issues.
  2. Printing Expertise: Knowledge of printers, plotters, and printing from a mainframe.
  3. Software Installation and Upgrades: Software installation and upgrades activities.
  4. Badge Authentication: Badge authentication and badge issues.
  5. Printer Troubleshooting: Printer troubleshooting issues like driver installation, mapping of printers, print queues, and new printer requests.
  6. Hardware Issues: Hardware issues related to printers.
  7. Print Services Management: Managing print services on the server.
  8. Patching Activities: Patching activities on print servers and validations.
  9. Vendor Calls: Leading vendor calls.
  10. Health Checks: Health checks, weekly highlights, and monthly reports.
  11. Ticket Handling: Handling p1, p2 tickets and handling MI's.
  12. RCA Analysis: RCA.
  13. SOP Creation: Creating and reviewing SOPs.
  14. Enterprise Print Management: Monitor and manage enterprise print services using OMPlus and LRS VPSX for print job routing, auditing, and failover.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. OMPlus Expertise: OMPus - centralised job control and monitoring.
  2. LRS VPSX Knowledge: LRS VPSX - output management and delivery.
  3. HP Web Jetadmin Experience: HP Web Jetadmin - device discovery, configuration, and firmware updates.
  4. Print Driver and Firmware Upgrade: Troubleshoot and resolve user print issues - including print errors, print queue issues, new printer requests, and connectivity problems.
  5. Operating System Knowledge: OS knowledge (Windows Server/Unix Server).
