Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance and Project Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in project-level financial management and corporate accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bid and Contract Review: Review bids, proposals, and agreements for financial compliance and client requirements.
  • Project Setup: Set up projects in ERP systems and collect and maintain legal documentation for sub-consultants.
  • Financial Reporting: Provide financial reports, forecasts, and profitability analyses, recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Revenue Recognition: Ensure revenue recognition compliance with GAAP ASC 606 and other standards.
  • Invoice Preparation: Collaborate with Project Managers to prepare monthly invoices and requisition forms.
  • Collections and Cash Management: Support collections and resolve overdue accounts in coordination with leadership.
  • Project Close-Out: Assist with project close-out in accordance with company policy.
Corporate Finance Management:
  • Accounting Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate corporate and local accounting records.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, expense coding, reimbursements, and cash application.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly financial statements and cash flow forecasts.
  • Tax Compliance: Handle tax computations, filings, and local compliance requirements.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset registers and financial schedules.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Audit Support: Assist auditors with year-end closing and documentation.
  • Payroll Management: Manage payroll processing and employee cash advances.
  • Compliance Management: Maintain statutory registrations, certificates, and office compliance records.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years' accounting experience in a professional services environment; AEC industry preferred.
  • Management Experience: Minimum 3 years' supervisory or management experience.
  • ERP Systems: ERP experience (Deltek Vision required; Tally experience a plus).
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Financial Standards: Familiarity with US-GAAP, IFRS, and IND-AS.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
