Technical Support Specialist

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled technical support specialist to provide expert assistance and resolve issues related to the Smartstream cash management system.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for providing technical support and resolving issues related to the underlying application, releases, and infrastructure of the Smartstream system.
  • You will work under a dual-hat arrangement, acting on behalf of both the banking arm and securities business, with the same level of authority and remit.
  • Support will be provided during UK hours, with participation in an overnight support rota (on-call) and weekend work as required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Documenting technical requirements and processes to capture configuration being performed
  • SUPPORT AND TEST TECHNICAL SYSTEMS/SERVERS
  • Collaborating with third-party software providers to ensure compliance with pre-defined application standards
  • Raising queries or tickets if software defects are identified
  • Ensuring solutions incorporate industry best practices
  • Working with neighbouring technology and project teams to ensure coordinated changes
  • Providing post-live support and assisting with remediation where necessary
  • Highlighting risks or concerns and escalating items appropriately

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with vendor application 'Smartstream Cash management (CMS) ver 4'
  • Knowledge of Control process Designer, Smart Schema, and Smartstream Recs
  • Excellent communication skills for conversing with various teams (unix/database/application)
  • Familiarity with Change Requests, CAB attendance, and weekend rollout of code changes
  • Control M' application knowledge, jobs creation, administration, alerting, file move, file watchers, json, etc.
  • Oracle 19 Sql scripting and oracle database concepts
  • Linux shell scripting and support
  • Jboss 8 server knowledge, configuration, and support, error log analysis, and WAR file deployment
  • JMS Queue processing and principles
  • GITHUB SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT AND AUTOMATED DEPLOYMENT VIA CI/CD PIPELINE
