Job Summary

The Chief Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's litigation and dispute resolution procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation cases, including those related to electricity and telegraph acts, land acquisition, arbitration, and constitutional matters.
  • Represent or assist in matters before various courts, tribunals, and consumer courts.
  • Draft, vet, and finalize legal documents, such as writ petitions, civil suits, and criminal complaints.
  • Coordinate with external counsel, monitor daily updates, and prepare legal MIS for controlling litigation.
  • Deliver advice on legal positions, backed by the latest law and court decisions.
  • Ensure prompt, pragmatic, and cost-effective disposal/resolution of legal issues.
  • Manage critical/high-stake litigation, draft contracts, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Conduct thorough risk analysis before entering into commercial and financial agreements.
  • Have good knowledge of law, especially related to electricity and telegraph acts, and be familiar with procedural practice and related statutes.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of contract law and drafting skills.
  • Experience working with external counsel and monitoring daily updates.
