Reliability Test Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a seasoned Reliability Test Engineer to lead a team of test engineers and perform Automotive EE component reliability testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of test engineers and perform Automotive EE component reliability testing.
  • Develop and execute test plans, coordinate with test engineers for test execution, and prepare reports.
  • Derive correlation establishment for reliability demonstrated testing and define the test to life correlation to prove the reliability of the EE components.
  • Work closely with Engineering and product quality teams for development of EE components.
  • Identify critical field failures, reproduce them at lab conditions, and derive new test methodologies.
  • Prepare and deliver required load boxes and automated test setups for test execution.
  • Ensure all tests are done as per standard test procedure and maintain test quality.
  • Investigate failures, conduct root cause analysis, and estimate failure probabilities and reliability life through mathematical models and statistical methods.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of automotive electromechanical loads on electronic components, physics of failure, and different aging laws.
  • Complete understanding of available international standards for reliability testing.
  • Experience in raw measurement data processing and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in handling a team.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability testing in automotive components.
