About the Role:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This includes maintaining and updating general ledger accounts, reconciling accounts payable and receivable, and handling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.

Taxation and Compliance:

  • Compute and file tax returns (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to tax laws and timely payment of statutory dues.
  • Liaise with tax authorities and consultants for audits and assessments.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and publish timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statements, etc).
  • Prepare budget forecasts, financial projections, and variance analysis reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis and assist management with financial decision-making.

Audits and Internal Controls:

  • Support internal and statutory auditors, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls and accounting policies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for audits and compliance purposes.

Banking and Treasury Management:

  • Manage cash flow, fund transfers, and oversee bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely bank payments and liaise with financial institutions for transactions.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field (B. Com, M. Com, CA-Inter preferred).

Technical Expertise:

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and principles, including GAAP/IFRS.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, Quick Books, or SAP.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.).

Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with different teams.
