Lead Data Scientist

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Lead Data Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our data analytics group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex data models to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Your primary focus will be on developing and deploying machine learning models to enhance search, browse, autocomplete, and recommendations experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced data scientists and engineers to design and implement cutting-edge data analytics solutions. You will also be responsible for communicating analytical results to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have expertise in traditional and modern machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, ensemble methods, deep learning, and reinforcement learning. You should also have effective communication and presentation skills, as well as prior experience working in the e-commerce sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex data models to drive business growth and improve customer experiences
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to enhance search, browse, autocomplete, and recommendations experiences
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Communicate analytical results to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning, and statistical modeling in e-commerce or related environments
  • Expertise in traditional and modern machine learning techniques (regression, classification, ensemble methods, deep learning, reinforcement learning)
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Prior experience working in the e-commerce sector is a plus
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field from a reputable institution
