Quality and Environmental Safety Assistant

We are seeking a Quality and Environmental Safety Assistant to support the implementation and maintenance of quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks. Proficiency in MS Office is required, and experience in a QHSE role within the shipping or maritime industry is preferred.

  • Support the development and implementation of QHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintain and update QHSE documentation, reports, and records.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and safety inspections in office and onboard vessels.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture within the organization by actively engaging employees.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Marine Studies, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of ISM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
