Job Title: Business Data Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented data professional with expertise in data analytics platforms, particularly SAP HANA and Snowflake.

This role will play a critical part in the migration of enterprise data solutions from HANA to Snowflake, ensuring business continuity, data integrity, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, working closely with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and analyze data requirements.
  • Analyze and conduct feasibility studies of business needs.
  • Work with capabilities team to identify source systems and data sets required for analytics.
  • Convert functional requirements to technical solutions.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional design documents. Collaborate with data modeler and data engineers to develop technical solutions.
  • Perform unit testing of analytical solutions.
  • Support business teams for completion of user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitate communication between business and IT departments.
  • Support deployment of analytical solutions to production.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance in the new Snowflake environment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics or data engineering roles.
  • Understand supply chain business processes.
  • Experienced in working on analytics-related projects and implementation.
  • Good exposure to SAP ERP systems like ECC or S/4HANA.
  • Understand data modeling concepts.
  • Ability to identify relationships between data sets.
  • Exposure to SQL queries and ability to query data for analysis/troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to BI reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of BI tools.
