Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned AWS Data Engineer with expertise in Oil & Gas industry to lead the design, build and optimization of scalable data pipelines and cloud solutions.

  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT solutions using AWS cloud services.
  • Ingest, process, and store structured/unstructured data from multiple sources (IoT devices, sensors, ERP systems, drilling logs, production data, etc.).
  • Implement data lake and data warehouse solutions for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Collaborate with domain experts, data scientists and business analysts to translate Oil & Gas business requirements into actionable data insights.
  • Ensure data governance, quality and security compliance throughout the data lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud services, data engineering and Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong expertise in S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lake Formation and other AWS services.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT development using PySpark, Python or SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling, warehousing and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of modern data architecture and data governance best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data solutions.
  • Ability to document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to the team.
