Climate Change Researcher

The Center for Climate Change & Energy Transition is accepting applications for a Fellow to provide evidence-based insights on climate policies. Our core research areas include Climate Change, Economy, and Geopolitics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis on focus areas including Climate Change, Energy Transition, Economy, and Geopolitics.
  • Lead and contribute to the creation of analytical research reports, policy papers, and articles on these topics.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to support research initiatives.
  • Oversee projects, including planning, budget management, and coordination responsibilities.
  • Establish a network of industry participants and collaborate with partners to enhance events and communication efforts.
  • Search and review published literature on research topics.
  • Supervise interns or other personnel on research-related tasks.
  • Assist with manuscript or grant development.
  • Prepare reports or presentations.
  • Organize events, seminars, and workshops on Climate Change, Economy, and Geopolitics.
  • Moderate academic discussions and policy dialogues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, including engineering or energy economics.
  • PhD in the given domain is an added advantage.
  • 13+ years of work experience.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and research software.
  • Ability to work/lead as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple research projects.
  • Strong relationship skills and team ethics.
  • Authored scholarly research publications and/or op-eds during the last five years.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel for research and stakeholder engagement.
