Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to lead high-voltage design, mixed-signal systems, FPGA development, and the foundations of timing, beam control, data acquisition, and power integrity.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of India's first commercial Scanning Electron Microscope.

Your Mission

Deliver the electronics that make the instrument feel instant and synchronized: a common timing spine, responsive beam control, low-noise power, and lossless, high-throughput data capture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design the timing and synchronization backbone so optics, detectors, motion, and software operate in lockstep.
  • Build mixed-signal boards: beam control drivers, detector front-ends, data-acquisition, and robust control I/O.
  • Ensure clean, stable power and grounding/shielding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior.
  • Provide diagnostics, fixtures, and logs so issues are obvious and field-debuggable.

Requirements

  • A proven track record shipping mixed-signal/FPGA systems in instruments, vision, or semiconductor/robotics gear.
  • Strong bench skills with scopes, analyzers, and bring-up; pragmatic about testability and manufacturability.
  • Collaborative and documentation-minded. You think in interfaces and failure modes.

Evaluation Metrics

  • Deterministic, synchronized operation across subsystems.
  • Stable, low-noise performance visible in images and analytics.
  • Lossless capture during long runs and lean EMC pre-checks.

You will shape architecture and culture, work hands-on, and ship a tool that moves research and industry forward.
