Cloud Architect Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.

Job Description

This role involves designing and implementing cloud solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key responsibilities include leading cloud migration initiatives from on-premise or legacy systems to cloud-based platforms. You will also be responsible for designing multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure high availability, scalability, and business continuity.

A key aspect of this role is defining and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. Additionally, you will collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure robust cloud governance and security compliance.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing cloud costs, performance, and resource utilization. Furthermore, providing guidance and mentorship to development and operations teams on cloud best practices is an essential part of this role.

To succeed in this position, you must have strong hands-on experience with GCP – at least 2 of these at an expert level. Deep knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is also required.
