Cloud Database Consultant Role

We are seeking a seasoned Database Consultant to join our team as a Cloud Database Consultant – MS SQL.

About the Role:

This is a highly specialized position that requires expertise in developing and implementing database solutions on cloud platforms, particularly in MS SQL environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading delivery teams during customer workshops and coordinating with stakeholders across client hierarchies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Database Architecture: Develop and implement robust database architectures for Oracle and MS SQL on Cloud.
  • Plan, Design, Implement, and Maintain Database Environments: Plan, design, implement, and maintain database environments on AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, etc.).
  • Expertise in Installation & Configuration, Schema Handling, User and Security Management, Backup & Restore, and Database Administration: Demonstrate expertise in installation and configuration, schema handling, user and security management, backup and restore, and database administration for MS SQL and Oracle.
  • Architect-Level Knowledge of Server Security, DR Replication Monitoring/Configuration, High Availability (HA), Failover, and Replication: Possess architect-level knowledge of server security, DR replication monitoring/configuration, high availability (HA), failover, and replication.
Key Requirements:
  • AWS Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS – RDS and DB migration experience.
  • Hands-on Experience Migrating Database Workloads: Hands-on experience migrating database workloads (across engines such as Oracle, MS SQL, etc.) onto RDS or native EC2.
  • Good Understanding of HA and Replication Mechanisms: Good understanding of HA and replication mechanisms for databases.
  • Practical Experience in 3-Tier Solutioning: Practical experience in 3-tier solutioning.
