Our platform is a sophisticated multi-tenant HR Tech product built on complex microservices architecture. We seek a resource with experience working on sophisticated SAAS platforms or microservices products with global teams. The ideal candidate owns workstreams within the platform and delivers outstanding outcomes for our clients - large enterprise Fortune 500/Global 2000 companies who require complex engineering design.

Role

Seeking highly talented and experienced Senior Developers with Laravel or YII framework expertise to lead the evolution of our application into a modern, scalable, and AI-first SaaS platform. As a Senior Developer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and implementing services architecture, ensuring seamless communication between services, and optimizing performance for our growing user base.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy services using best practices, ensuring each service is modular, independent, and follows established standards.
  • Create well-defined APIs for communication between microservices and integrate third-party services and APIs as needed.
  • Optimize the platform for scalability, high availability, and performance by implementing caching, load balancing, and other techniques.
  • Design and implement relevant multi-tenancy features, allowing multiple customers to use the platform securely and efficiently.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Adhere to coding standards, review code, and mentor junior developers to maintain a high-quality codebase.
  • Create technical documentation for architecture, APIs, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and DevOps engineers to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 6-10 years of hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel or YII framework.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing services architecture.
  • Previous work on transitioning monolithic applications to SaaS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and other communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in database design, including multi-tenancy considerations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A quick learner who can start contributing immediately by understanding our current platform and developing new features right away.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Understanding of frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
