Lead Airfield Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Airfield Engineer to be the Lead for our airfield civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality projects through various stages of design from feasibility studies to detailed design and onto construction for clients globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the lead designer for airfield civil engineering projects.
  2. Take ownership of project delivery while giving leadership and direction to junior team members.
  3. Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications related to airfield engineering projects.
  4. Contribute towards technical design reviews to meet quality management requirements.
  5. Provide technical input throughout the full design process.
  6. Effectively communicate designs with team members, industry associates, and clients.
  7. Identify and manage design risks, issues, and RFIs.
  8. Support Project Managers by undertaking project progress monitoring and contributing to project controls.
  9. Implement technical quality requirements, address project briefs, and meet client deadlines.
  10. Champion excellent health and safety in design.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10 years of civil infrastructure design experience at airports.
  • Civil engineering experience working on large, technically complex multi-disciplinary airport projects.
  • Experience managing engineering professionals in delivering technical aviation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Competent self-leadership with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • International airfield design standards knowledge (ICAO, FAA).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
