Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation in DITA XML, using Oxygen Author and adhering to Synopsys Guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in writing User Manuals and Technical Documents, preferably from the EDA/semiconductor industry. They will also be familiar with GitHub processes and have good knowledge of English, including American English spellings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain User Manuals for model libraries (IP) and tools methodologies.
  • Create documentation in DITA XML using Oxygen Author adhering to Synopsys Guidelines and build the doc package using standard templates.
  • Co-ordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and design teams to seek inputs and handle doc reviews for completion.
  • Ensure timely release of documents in line with scheduled product releases.
  • Ensure accuracy of documents within short turnaround times.
  • Keep documents up to date with changing customer requirements and technological advancements.
  • Proactively track and co-ordinate with other technical writers for current/upcoming assignments.
  • Assist Product development teams in reviewing and editing Internal Documentation etc.
  • Follow the doc conventions as per the Synopsys Style Guide.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A positive temperament and attitude.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with XML code and Python code for creating and maintaining doc contents and required automations.
  • Accountability for the tasks responsible.
  • A good team player.
