Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and maintain our Linux operating systems. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Linux administration, including RedHat, CentOS, and Unix.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Linux operating systems, including building and configuring virtual machines, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, system tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Implement a solid understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environments.
  • Develop Shell scripting skills for automation and efficiency.
  • Work on break/fix, release management, patching, and system hardening.
  • Provide excellent customer-facing service when handling incident response.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or training.
  • Degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with enterprise systems for monitoring.
  • Relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, Azure.
