Job Description

We are seeking a professional to join our team in the mining sector. The successful candidate will work closely with government and public companies to understand their vision for the mining sector, developing comprehensive strategies to promote investment and drive significant production growth.

The role involves providing expert advice on mining areas (exploration, geology, mine development & design, extraction & beneficiation, refining) to support the development of regulatory frameworks and company mining strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on regional mining industry trends, opportunities, and challenges – generate insights and actionable output, including recommendations and global best practices.
  • Collaborate with mining companies, investors, and local communities to promote sustainable mining practices and build strong relationships.
  • Establish and implement performance metrics to track progress (PMO), providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and intellectual property related to mining sector trends and innovations; facilitating development of proposals and other business development work.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mining or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the mining industry and overall experience of minimum 8 years in research (custom / bespoke) and consulting field.
  • In-depth knowledge of mining areas, including exploration, resource evaluation, mine development, and beneficiation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make informed decisions to optimize mining operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
