About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Art Director to lead our team of talented artists in creating captivating visual experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a cohesive artistic vision for our 3D projects, ensuring consistency throughout all deliverables.
  • Liaise with game designers and developers to guarantee seamless integration of art assets within project goals.
  • Establish, manage, and optimize the 3D art pipeline and production workflow, maximizing efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and best practices in production techniques.
  • Oversee the development of initial concepts, visual guides, and storyboards to communicate artistic direction to the team and stakeholders.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • A degree in fine arts, graphic design, animation, or a related field is typically required, reflecting a solid foundation in creative principles and technical skills.
  • At least 8 years of experience in 3D art production, preferably with leadership or senior artist roles within the relevant industry.

Required Skills:

  • Expert proficiency with industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, ZBrush).
  • Experience with texturing and sculpting tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Technical art fundamentals, including modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and optimization.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • An exceptional ability to develop and communicate an original and compelling visual style.
  • Strong team management and mentorship skills to inspire and motivate artists.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting concepts and providing clear feedback.
  • A keen eye for visual quality and consistency to ensure high-fidelity results.
