Power Electronics Leader

We are seeking a seasoned professional to define and own the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for power electronics systems. This leader will drive innovation in cost-effective, scalable, and high-efficiency power conversion for electrolyzer stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, simulation, prototyping, and validation of high-efficiency rectifier and DC-DC converter systems (10 kW to >5 MW).
  • Drive the development of modular, scalable, and high-efficiency electrical architectures under cost and performance constraints.
  • Partner with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering to co-optimize packaging, cooling, and integration.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of power electronics engineers and technicians.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with component vendors, contract manufacturers, and external design partners.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant grid codes, EMC/EMI standards, UL, IEC, IEEE, or other regulatory frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power electronics.
  • 18+ years of industry experience in power electronics, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of AC-DC and DC-DC conversion topologies, especially in multi-kilowatt to multi-megawatt power classes.
  • Experience with medium voltage systems and safe, reliable system design in those domains.
