Merchandising Specialist Job Description

Our fashion brand is pioneering tech innovation to provide clothing for women in all sizes. We leverage patented manufacturing technology to process orders as made-to-order and dispatch them within 48 hours using digital inventory, aiming for a sustainable supply chain.

Our team operates with transparency at all levels, ensuring seamless experiences for our clients. We partner with emerging designers to develop strategic sourcing relationships.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing the buying cycle by leading merchandising efforts.
  • Developing and implementing effective procurement strategies.
  • Collaborating with operations managers, suppliers, and quality control teams to ensure timely production and product delivery.
  • Creating and sharing technical packs, specification sheets, and quality standards with vendors.
  • Working closely with vendors on development sampling and initial costs.
  • Monitoring supplier performance, conducting regular audits, and addressing any issues or non-compliance.
  • Collaborating with clients to ensure accurate design packages.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sourcing metrics.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in managing production or sourcing (ideally 2+ years).
  • Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology.
  • Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations and processes.
  • Technical knowledge of pattern and fit development of garments—knowledge of AUTO CAD is preferred.
  • Merchandise sourcing knowledge—experience in sample development and offshore production exposure.
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Digitally savvy and adept at implementing new technologies and tools.
