The Cluster Head is a key leadership role responsible for driving business expansion and growth in the cluster. This role heads a network of asset desk managers and is accountable for achieving topline and profitability goals for Retail Assets and Small Business Banking Products of Axis Bank.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the cluster business growth strategy through the team of asset desk managers for profitable growth of Retail Assets and Small Business Banking products.
  • Establish budgets and targets, and provide guidance to asset desk managers in preparing business plans for their respective areas.
  • Establish and strengthen relations with key customers in collaboration with the asset desk managers to generate business from the branches.
  • Ensure monthly target achievement with a healthy product mix by the ADM mapped branches.
  • Review and monitor performance of the asset desk managers for ensuring achievement of all productivity, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Review and ensure compliance of all processes according to bank's policies, including timely action on internal and statutory audit observations.
  • Coach and mentor high potential talent to develop them for higher responsibilities.
  • Ensure manpower needs are fulfilled to implement the business expansion in the cluster.
  • Liaison with project teams, infrastructure, and support service providers for efficient service delivery.

Qualifications:

Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

  • Graduate/Post Graduate from a recognized institute.
  • 10-15 years of experience in a relevant role/BFSI sector.

  • Knowledge of industry, technology, marketing, and product trends.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and norms.
  • Good communication (both verbal and written) skills in both English and the local language.
  • Ability to manage complex client situations.
  • Ability to manage risk and uncertainty for self and team within a dynamic priority-setting environment.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others.
