Job Description

Procore Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our Financial Division team. As a key member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical content that meets the needs of our customers and stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities

  • Author and edit product documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal resources, software developers, and engineering teams to gather, write, and publish technical information for various financial roles in our construction audience.
  • Develop and maintain top-quality learning materials and technical documentation, including tutorials, FAQs, workflow diagrams, infographics, screenshots, and simplified user images.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to set expectations, gather information, and ensure that documentation meets their needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and adapt rapidly to changing regulations and requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
  • Regularly use a content management system to manage the lifecycle of technical documentation, including drafting, reviewing, and publishing content for phased releases.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the Procore platform and how our tools are used to perform various construction-related tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to address and resolve specific issues.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in English, Technical Communication, or Journalism.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Technical Writer or in a related role.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Financial or Fin Tech technical writer.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex content.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly for multiple audiences using Plain English.
  • Excellent work ethic and intellectual curiosity with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Desire to innovate and improve upon current processes.
  • Experience creating infographics to communicate workflow processes and abstract topics.
  • Track record of collaboration with various stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to approach topics in new and unique ways and develop strong partnerships and networks.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and identify positive solutions to achieve individual and team goals.
