Human Resources Business Partner

The role of the Human Resources Business Partner is crucial in spearheading the HR function for Quality and Operations functions at a manufacturing site. The successful candidate will provide strategic HR business partnership to the site leadership team, developing and implementing human resources strategy and policy in support of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Partner: Plan, implement, and evaluate employee relations and human resource programs and practices. Partner with business leaders to understand business needs and align people strategy to meet those needs.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Responsible for talent acquisition by providing a talented workforce within tight timelines to ensure business continuity. Identify manpower requirements based on business priorities and plan budget accordingly. Ensure best-in-class onboarding experience for new joiners.
  • HR Manpower Planning and Budgeting: Assist in budgeting process of all HR items, including manpower costs and operational expenditure. Periodically review and monitor actual spend versus approved budgets, ensuring optimum utilization of manpower budgets and trend analysis.
  • Performance Management: Drive continual performance management and annual compensation reviews. Train line managers on goal setting and sharing performance feedback.
  • Talent Management: Implement periodic talent management reviews, develop and execute development/retention plans, create succession plans for critical roles, and drive programs to address talent priorities.
  • Learning and Development: Promote a culture of learning and high performance. Identify training needs, prepare training calendars, and evaluate training efficacy.
  • HR Compliance and Statutory Obligations: Ensure HR legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable statutory laws, maintaining records, and representing the organization at various associations related to human resources.
  • Labour Management: Maintain harmonious and productive industrial relations environments, track productivity, identify scope for cost savings, and ensure all statutory compliances are followed by manpower vendors.
  • Employee Engagement and Wellbeing: Implement initiatives and activities to impact key drivers of employee engagement. Lead wellbeing initiatives to achieve holistic wellbeing of employees.
  • HR Operations: Supervise and review all HR operations pertaining to employee lifecycle, with the objective of streamlining and bringing efficiency.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience handling HR functions, with a preference for experience in manufacturing setups.
  • MBA in HR or Master's in Human Resource Management.
  • Strong business acumen, excellent management skills, ability to influence management, and excellent analytical ability.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management, especially senior-level stakeholders.
