**Job Title: Data Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled data architect to develop and implement an end-to-end data architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and optimization of our data ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and build enterprise data architecture, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time streaming solutions, leveraging technical expertise in data modeling, databases, cloud platforms, and integration frameworks.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data across multiple systems, utilizing ETL/ELT frameworks and cloud data platforms.
  • Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to ensure consistency, reuse, and governance, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
  • Optimize database performance through partitioning, indexing, and query tuning strategies, ensuring efficient data processing and retrieval.
  • Deploy and manage data solutions using cloud-native tools, streamlining operations and improving data quality.
  • Implement data security frameworks and compliance standards, protecting sensitive information and maintaining regulatory adherence.
  • Establish and oversee metadata management, MDM, and data lineage tracking, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the data lifecycle.

Leadership & Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the data architecture authority, defining standards, frameworks, and best practices to guide data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor data engineers, BI developers, and analysts in architecture principles and implementation, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to translate requirements into data-driven solutions, fostering cross-functional understanding and alignment.
  • Drive adoption of data governance and quality frameworks across the organization, ensuring consistency and excellence in data management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing and transformations, with experience in data modeling and database design.
  • Proven experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and cloud data platforms, such as AWS Glue, Azure Synapse, or Google Cloud Data Fusion.
  • Familiarity with DevOps for data and big data frameworks, including containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks, including GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
  • Strong communication skills to influence and guide technical and business teams, with experience in presenting complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
