Job Overview:

The Test Automation Strategist plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing test automation frameworks and strategies for mobile telecom applications.

This individual ensures the efficiency and scalability of test automation processes across functional and non-functional testing efforts.

They select appropriate automation tools, drive development of test scripts, and maintain the automation framework.

The Test Automation Strategist works closely with the test teams to improve test efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Framework:
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for telco systems, including OSS/BSS, billing, CRM, and network monitoring applications.
    • Evaluate and select tools and technologies that align with the telecom SDLC.
  • Test Automation Strategy:
    • Define the test automation strategy and identify automation opportunities.
    • Collaborate with test leads and domain SMEs to identify automation opportunities.
    • Prioritize test cases for automation.
  • Test Script Development:
    • Develop and maintain automation scripts.
    • Guide the team to develop and maintain high-quality automated test scripts.
    • Ensure test script reliability and maintainability, following best practices.
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):
    • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous testing.
    • Ensure timely execution of automated tests.
    • Optimize test scripts for performance and efficiency.
    • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the automation framework.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks and strategies for mobile telecom applications. Strong understanding of automation tools and technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
