Job Title:

Tax Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our direct tax team, you will play a vital role in advising clients on various aspects of direct taxation.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting submissions for faceless assessment and appeal proceedings, penalty submissions for penalty proceedings etc.
  • Representing before assessing officer and various other authorities for assessment and appeal proceedings.
  • Preparing, vetting and filing return of incomes and TDS returns for individuals, partnership firms, HUF, companies etc.
  • Responding to letters and making compliances to queries of department.
  • Briefing managers, partners and counsels for CIT (appeals), tribunal and high court matters.
  • Drafting and preparing submissions and paper books for matters before various appellate authorities.
  • Thorough research for technical and legal issues in the appeal matters.
  • Providing advisory over domestic /International Taxation.
  • Preparing form 15 CA/CB for various clients.
  • Advisory and planning over tax structures and evaluating the taxability for the structures.
Requirements:

For this role, we are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of Indian Direct Tax Laws and experience in dealing with related challenges such as frequent changes in tax laws and regulations, complex tax assessments and litigations, cross-functional data coordination, transfer pricing and compliances to support cross border transactions, interpersonal skills and collaborative working, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and working presentation skills.

  • 8-10+ years in Direct Tax.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Indian Direct Tax Laws.
  • Frequent changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Complex tax assessments and litigations.
  • Cross-functional data coordination.
  • Transfer pricing and compliances to support cross border transactions.
  • Interpersonal skills and collaborative working.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working presentation skills.
