Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and accomplished professional to join our GST Advisory & Litigation team in Pune. As a Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice and support to clients on indirect tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of legal provisions related to GST, identifying key trends and areas of improvement.
  • Draft advises, opinions, and compliance reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communication.
  • Prepare engaging PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars, effectively communicating complex information in an easily digestible format.
  • Analyze client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop scenarios to identify the most tax-efficient business model, streamlining operations and maximizing profitability.
  • Contribute to articles, monographs, and other publications, showcasing expertise and thought leadership in the field of indirect tax advisory.
  • Deliver exceptional client service, identifying and discussing technical issues with clients while ensuring firm risk management.
  • Handle tax matters, including preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and representation before tax authorities, ensuring seamless resolution of complex disputes.
  • Manage multiple client relationships, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients, fostering strong partnerships and driving growth.
  • Develop rapport with middle-level client managers, building trust and credibility through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Enhance commercial acumen and stay abreast of firm-wide and competitor activities, driving innovation and strategic decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a CA qualification or LLB from a reputable law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Excellent English language skills, with fluency in conversation.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in indirect tax advisory/litigation post-qualification experience.
