Job Overview

As a Procurement Specialist in our Civil SCM team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to our solar project sites. You will work closely with our HO SCM team and local vendors to develop and execute procurement strategies that meet our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction materials and consumables, as well as experience in procurement documentation, vendor management, and coordination with site teams. They will be able to negotiate prices and close work orders at the site level, and possess basic knowledge of ERP/SCM tools.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can build strong relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and team members. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required, along with 5-8 years of experience in procurement/supply chain management in construction or renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure site-level civil items locally within approved budget limits.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely material availability according to construction schedules.
  • Align with HO SCM teams on procurement status, vendor approvals, and project SCM deliverables.
  • Maintain local vendor databases for civil items and consumables.
  • Ensure procurement adheres to company policies, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report material inflow/outflow, consumption, and stock levels.
  • Support material reconciliation for civil items during and after project execution.
  • Coordinate logistics for safe and timely transportation of materials to sites.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation (POs, GRNs, invoices, vendor records).
