Director of Strategic Communications

We are seeking a skilled Director of Strategic Communications to lead our team in crafting and executing communication solutions for clients. This key leadership role requires a deep understanding of integrated communications, stakeholder management, and business development.

About the Role
  1. This Director will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and client CXOs to bring communication strategies to life across traditional and digital platforms.
  2. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong command of integrated communications and a proven track record in leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and grow client relationships at operational and leadership levels through regular strategic and digital advocacy, including crisis management when needed.
  • Translate overall strategies into actionable tactical plans and ensure timely delivery by the team.
  • Develop award-winning, insightful, and creative ideas to drive results and brand influence for clients.
  • Build and improve relationships with senior journalists and influencers across the country.
  • Oversee development and maintenance of a national media universe for all clients.
  • Guide Account Managers and team members in tracking news trends and proactively pitching stories to secure media coverage.
  • Drive new business opportunities by participating in and leading client pitches focused on social and digital strategy, investigative research, campaign analytics, and media monitoring.
  • Direct the Account Manager in client retention, improvement of Client Satisfaction Score, and overall servicing cost management of client portfolio.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor a team of highly engaged individuals, empowering them to succeed in their careers.
  • Network with media contacts and understand the B2B/B2C technology landscape.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment by addressing and resolving team conflicts effectively.
Requirements
  1. A Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/PR/Journalism from a reputable institute or an MBA in Marketing.
  2. No less than 10-13 years of experience in a PR Agency.
