Job Title: Legacy System Specialist

Aqilea India is seeking a skilled professional with strong technical expertise in legacy systems.

  • Perform end-to-end testing of mainframe-based applications and batch processes to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Analyze requirements, design test cases, and execute functional and regression tests to validate data integrity.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure complete test coverage and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Debug and resolve problems in COBOL programs, JCL, and batch jobs using advanced debugging techniques.
  • Validate data consistency using DB2 queries to maintain data accuracy.
  • Track and manage defects using Agile project management tools like JIRA.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive team success.
  • Provide regular test reports and updates to stakeholders to inform decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Mainframe Testing with 34 years of industry expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of DB2, COBOL, and JCL programming languages.
  • Understanding of mainframe batch job flows and advanced debugging techniques.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and testing tools like JIRA for efficient defect management.
  • Ability to write and execute SQL queries for validation and troubleshooting.
  • Good analytical and communication skills for effective collaboration.
