Job Overview

This leadership role serves as the Practice Head for Mainframe and Legacy Modernization, overseeing a portfolio of significant value and circa 2500 employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a differentiated portfolio of offerings to drive practice growth.
  • Manage client relations by building strong contextualized value propositions for clients across the value chain.
  • Shape the delivery engine and build capability and talent readiness to deploy solutions to clients.

  • A deep understanding of technology, domain, and industry is essential.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with strategic and problem-solving mindset are required.
  • A proven track record of driving high-performance measures is necessary.
Responsibilities
  1. Practice Strategy:
    1. Define the practices' vision, roadmap, portfolio of offerings, and strategic direction.
    2. Lead large-scale modernization and migration initiatives.
  2. Client Engagement:
    1. Engage with clients to identify business opportunities by providing relevant solutions to increase delivery-led growth.
    2. Support sales and pre-sales teams with acquisition and traction of new deals.
  3. Solution Development:
    1. Interlock with other practices to develop winning solutions.
    2. Build strong pools of technologists and architects to bring thought leadership to solution development and implementation.
  4. Delivery Management:
    1. Institutionalize the capabilities of Nex-Gen Solutions, including AI into the delivery teams.
    2. Collaborate and influence internal key stakeholders to ensure flawless delivery of projects.
  5. Capability Development and Talent Management:
    1. Spearhead demand forecasting and resource planning aligned to requirements.
    2. Create and deploy a workforce plan to fulfill the required demand from all talent channels.
  6. Innovation and Modernization:
    1. Lead the evolution of the mainframe practice into hybrid/cloud and DevOps models.
    2. Evaluate and adopt emerging tools and technologies such as DevOps for mainframe, COBOL modernization, AI/ML for ops.
