As a professional in the field of genetic counselling, you will play a vital role in providing expert guidance to individuals and families dealing with genetic disorders.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate genetic counsellor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-test and post-test genetic counselling via audio or video mode, as well as offering in-person counselling at hospitals or clinics when required.
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of genetic tests and be able to communicate effectively with patients and clinicians. You will also be responsible for analysing patient histories, drawing 3-generation pedigrees, and maintaining accurate records.
In this rewarding role, you will inform individuals and at-risk family members about genetics, genetic disorders, and their consequences. You will work closely with clinical geneticists and treating clinicians to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Requirements- A Master's degree in Human Genetics, Life Science, or a relevant field is essential for this role.
- At least 3 years of work experience in genetic counselling is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and clinicians are essential.
