Job Overview

A detail-oriented and motivated Risk Analyst is required to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple asset classes and geographies, supporting the group's credit and market risk functions and contributing to risk oversight across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Daily Credit and Market Risk Reports: Develop and deliver comprehensive reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Produce Risk Analysis and Inputs for Management Committee Packs: Analyze data and create actionable recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Review and Send Out Limit Breach Notifications: Monitor limit utilization and notify stakeholders of any breaches or potential risks.
  • Conduct Credit Analysis of New and Existing Clients: Evaluate creditworthiness and provide recommendations on lending policies.
  • Respond to Ad Hoc Queries on Limit Utilisation and Counterparty Requests: Provide timely and accurate responses to support business operations.
  • Provide Margin Rates and Monitor Margin Levels, Escalating Issues as Needed: Ensure margin levels are optimized and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Support Colleagues in the Absence of Risk Analysts or Market Risk Leads: Provide coverage and support to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Train Graduate Analysts Rotating through the Team: Mentor and train junior analysts to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist with Ad Hoc Risk Initiatives and Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding of Capital Markets Fundamentals: Knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income Products: Familiarity with various product types and their characteristics.
  • Advanced Excel Skills; Experience Writing Macros is Advantageous: Proficiency in Excel and ability to automate tasks.
  • Knowledge of Balance Sheets and Income Statements is Beneficial: Understanding of financial statements and their implications.
  • Bachelor's Degree (2:1 Minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a Related Field: Academic background in a relevant field.
